Hobbies come and go. A career will most likely (but not always) be for life. If I could do it again, I'd study dentistry... Never seen a poor or bored dentist! Cheers. Mark.

Study law or medicine of course! :p Or find out what qualifications JP Morgan etc. want in their graduates, I have no idea. Probably some kind of math.
Applied mathematics is as specialized as I'd go ... gambling quants will still be in demand in 5 years with the stability of the current economic system is unnecessary, if you're good applied maths will be close enough ... and if the financial industry craters (or you find you don't have the stomach to be a glorified hustler in a global casino) at least you can be useful in other fields.

1. Build a Class A guitar amp and learn the blues. 2. Glassblowing 3. Try to figure out White Anodize, (would tell you but what fun is that) 4. Photography 5. Digital Art 6. Draw 7. Go outside
sky is the limit
I've been doing electronics most of my life and it gets to be pretty hum-drum after a while, so I do different things, electronics still pays the bills though, and there are some exciting things out there that you don't even know about yet. Microwave electronics for one is very interesting and challenging to design. I'm still waiting to build up a power meter because I'm stuck fixing audio amps at the moment.
Buy (or carefully build) a violet wand. It livened up my high voltage hobby and got some friends interested as well.
I googled that. CANNOT UNREAD WIKIPEDIA PAGE... but suddenly I want one. If I was a boy that would totally give me a double boner. But I think thats for people that *really* love high voltage.
