Here is a quick schematic I made for board layout. Any new eyes to catch errors? I am PRETTY sure this is ok, and I had to make the ixdd614 part myself. But I know from experience that it is a pain when you finish etching a board only to find out you left out some simple but crucial detail.

Thank you everyone who is tolerating my questions, this is my first duel resonant!

edit: the 1n4004's replace the 4007's because they don't have a part lib in eagle

Sorry to double post, Ben posted while I was posting, this is response to his latest post. Just wanted to keep them separate.

Ben don't take this the wrong way, because I started out he same way smile, but there so many things wrong with that DRSSTC driver I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole let alone let it near a DRSSTC.

I would really suggest starting out with Steve's Universal DRSSTC driver, it's proven working and already has the board designed. Once you learn the in's and out's of that driver you will be ready to fly solo and make your own board. I almost when the same road you are going right now on my first DRSSTC, thankfully I was talked out of it.

check it out you won't regret going this way Link2

no, i don't take it the wrong way, i just want to build a nice working drsstc XD i liked the design because it is simple enough i could modify it a bit with fiber optics ect. i already have some nice to-247 igbts rated for 220A pulse. the only problem i see with steve's driver is it is double sided, and i cant make double sided boards and it doesn't have a schematic so i can remake it. the other is that he uses npn and pnp mosfets, where as all i have are npn igbts.

i would gladly use this if it was convenient, but it seems to be a bit more than i can handle. is there something i you would suggest to me so i can keep my igbts? (HGTG30N60B3D) and so i can make it myself?

what about steves DRSSTC-.5? the igbts are similar enough in specs- and the driver circuit itself was put together on protoboard, so i can manage that easy enough.

hi Ben I was thinking more like this. if you use the enable on the ixdd414 the output will go high Z

You need some signal diode in parallel with yours dead-resistor, with not the diode it will not produce dead-time, only some delay and a bit of histeresys that you don't need here.

alright, advice taken, and i am waiting for a reply from steve. but untill he gets back to me, say i take steves .5 coil. its pretty simple, has just a couple parts, and i can easaly work with it. how would i swap the gate drivers for the 614's? and any reason i shouldnt use this coil? it is everything im looking for. and i realy cant overwork my igbts because they are almost identical to the ones used.
and i already have most of the parts.
and i can easily lay out the board myself.

the 614's are pin for pin conpatable with the 414 . if you want to go from dip to 614 you will have to look up the data sheets for ea an mach in, out, en, vcc, gnd. post some pictures when you get started.

how does it match up with the ucc's? steves coil uses ucc37321 and ucc37322 and doesnt label the pins. plus one is inverting and one is noninverting. how do i use 614's in their place?

if one is invering and one not you will have to add a inverter before one of the drivers. look up the data sheets for each to find pin outs. just google part no.
