I dident even know they made PA amplifiers below atleast 100 watts per channel in 8-16 ohms. Until now, the Lineartech L700 have been the lowest power pa amp i've seen.

milliVolt Nixie meter (free)
Various RF power equipment (free)
a XY Plotter (uses a variable DC voltage in), (free)
three HP DL380 servers, with several 10/15k RPM HDDs ($75 for all three)
8-port rackmount KVM Console (with 15" LCD, keyboard, and trackpad) ($50, @ DEFCON)
a very nice Sargent Greenleaf High Security Lock, with 8/9 pin Medeco Biaxial cylinder (Military surplus, worth like $200). ($25 from army navy store, sold it at B-Sides DFW for $160 cash since I really needed money at the time... wish I still had it).
15MHz Dual-trace portable Oscilloscope (free, craigslist)
Also, I made a deal as a student with a boating shop to get stuff for the price they pay the distributor for my ROV parts (they don't lose money, but I get a great deal on my 1000GPH pumps!)

and a lot more stuff. Amazing what people decide to get rid of for the low-low prices allowed by my budget, or even free most of the time!

Got a 12kV 60mA NST for free from a sign shop.

The other day a friend who fixes air conditioners handed me a bag of 20+ motor running capacitors. All rated at 450VAC and from 20uF to 60uF. Yay!
