Bleh, you left your flyback ungrounded which means the core was live with HV, and primary on it... if the output circuit closes to anything even capacitively I wouldn't be surprised about PSU death.

Hi Platinum,
sorry if I sounded gloomy, didn't intend that at all - please forgive me! Just make sure you ground the ground pin on the flyback next time (ensuring it's connected to the core would be a good idea too in case it isn't!) I think this might help a lot in stopping your power supplies from blowing up... but other than that, the SMPS might have smoked because you overloaded it too because of high magnetizing current your gapped flyback drew.
When using an inverter drive, always make sure to remove all airgaps from the core and try not to saturate the core by using overly high amount of V/turn (depends on frequency of the PSU, but I wouldn't go over 2V/turn at least for start)

Well thanks!, I noticed nearly everything on my workbench, was at HV, bit of dust and paper was pointing to the air, My mouse was nearby and it broke. Luckily I had a spare one. Everything was HV I think. Better ground the flyback then, thanks! Could I use mains ground or make my own ground?
I'm going to get another SMPS, but not from maplins, they are stupid prices. And make another flyback driver. And I think that the flyback was pulling also maximum power from the PSU, that's why it broke, there was only 4 turns on the primary.
