My website used to be on Google, now it's not. I've submitted it three times over the past three months, and doing a site search on it doesn't return any record of my site. Used to, I'd just type "Part Scavenger's Tesla Site" in the google bar, and it'd pop right up. I've never put anything but good clean HV fun on there, what gives? Yahoo's been caching me for like 6 months now, and I never signed up with them. I was #18 under "DRSSTC" last I checked.
My site is >>>http://home.att.net/~gbward4/<<< I've never changed the address, and I update it frequently.
I don't get it, I've never done any cloaking or keyword bogging or anything like that. I did put the old site in an \oldsite folder, which has some of the same info, but not much...
How do I figure out if I've been banned and how do I fix it/keep from it later?

Your new site could be stuck in the google 'sandbox', a period of days/weeks/months during which you...err... aren't in the database.
"What Is The Google Sandbox Effect?"
"The idea behind the hindrance is to prevent a fast ranking to occur on a new website. The usual holding period seems to be between 90 and 120 days before a site would start obtaining rank from reciprocal or back linking."

It seems like they found index.htm and body.htm. Maybe your menu is confusing the html parser so they don't find the other pages? Do anyone link to the other pages so google should find them indirectly?

Frames are bad – no excuse these days with numerous other options.
Google returns: "Welcome to WardLabs: Home of the Part Scavenger home.att.net/~gbward4/"
Which makes sense, as your top frame is practically empty (only really has a title).
The google bot may take up to a month to rescan your site for text content. If you attempt to hammer their indexing system it will not make a difference and may adversely affect your standing in the special interest group listings.
The google bot directives are well documented and often placed inside a page’s meta data. Google will have many tutorial sites with the parameters to disable cache, forbid index (google will not list the site), and block scans of certain areas. Mind you many Spam bots will follow the same google bot path and ignore the directives.
If you must use frames, a one page welcome in flat html describing your content will show up more frequently in the search matrix hits. People used to bloat their meta data keyword and type descriptions – but most search engines will only take less than the first 10 keywords and ignore the rest. For page content most favour normal short descriptive paragraphs over a large index of auto-generated keywords.

it is possible that for some reason or another that google is blocking *you* from seeing you site, it has blocked most of the hv forum from me at times. I can't figure out what it is doing, for a while I could search the old forum by not using the google 'personalised home page' but after a while even that didn't get the archive after a while (reinstalling windows seems to have solved it).
To see if this is happening I usually do a search on 'heahily site:4hv.org' (no quotes) and see what comes up. If I get 2 results then it is probably working, if not then I know there are problems.
Although it looks like your problem is that google is not searching the text on your page, if you search for 'gbward' the link to your site only has the address in the description

Gee, that's embarassing!
Thanks, I guess I spoke too soon. I SWEAR it wasn't there when I posted, and I did a quick test just before with "Wardlabs" and "Part Scavenger" and even "site: (Note, it's not supposed to be the green arrow.) Nothing, just like I've been doing for weeks. Seems it was cached on the 1st, so maybe they just posted it. I can see it now.
Do anyone link to the other pages so google should find them indirectly?
Sadly, no. Any takers?
But really, how do I make my content available if it indeed is confusing the GoogleBot? I'd kind of like people to at least be able to find my DRSSTC FAQ and my mass-desoldering pages. Those are the bigger selling points I think. Do I have to go without a menu or can I just hide a page somewhere with all the links?

Another really strange Google thing is my photo of my 6 inch coil on Google images of "Tesla coil". It has been number 1 for most of the last 12 months out of 11,000. I was not aware it was back on the list because I had "safe search" off when it does not appear. But put "safe search" on and there it is. This is the OPPOSITE of what happens to porn stuff. What is going on? Peter
