Another Canadian here. If you aren't actively picking other people's locks there is no real problem in having them. I made a set years ago just to see how hard it is to learn. I was surprised at how easily some (cheaper) locks are to open and how different designs make picking much harder but that's all off topic.
Dremel, buy a new one, there are 2 good reasons. First you get new bits when you buy a new set. Second, if the new one goes bad you have parts between the 2 to fix one.
