...People ask you "Have you seen the crazy tesla guitar guy on Youtube" and you are him. (or one of the many these days)

...You quit your job at Fermilab to tour the world with a travelling Tesla coil circus.

...You end up troubleshooting high voltage power systems for a living, based on what you learnt in your hobby.

All of these things and more have happened to former forum members!

I once showed a video of a powerful SSTC to a girl that I had a crush on(she didn't know) and told her I'm trying to build one.Then she think I'm totally mad to build something like that.(She major in electronics)
