Ok I'm supper impressed! Your coil has a rather lash up look to it at first glance, but once you turn that sucker on WOAH! You have almost got the ceiling on fire!

You must be using a lot of power to get those kinda arcs at CW or even Quasi CW. If you don't mind what is your input power?

As others have mentioned it would be cool to see a coil with this much power at higher frequency. I personally would love to see something in the MHz range at 10Kw or 15Kw of input. I imagine the secondary would have to be water cooled or something fancy to keep it from simply melting away hehe.


Anyway your VTTC work is amazing. It must be the Russian! Born to tube... tongue

I use two russian-MOT transformers series:-D
I unfortunately do not have a powerful transformer!sad

I plan to make VTTC 1 MHZ 10kW:-D
