I finished the primary, secondary, and topload...I'm gonna start a new thread in projects for it (: I still need to figure out a way to make it play music though...From now on I'm gonna just focus on getting it to play music, and then I'll move to having the audio source built in.
you could use music tracker or sequencing software to make your melody as a square wave using a pwm oscillator which should be available as an analog modeling synth or you could build one in puredata or max msp. "Record" it as an mp3, more like render since its a computer, Then, if your mp3 player is dc coupled and will put out a real-ish square wave, the headphone out probably has enough to directly drive an opto-isolator. You could also use a sine or any other waveform with a comparator as long as your duty cycle isnt too long.
Okay, so if I understand what your saying, I could basically play the music directly into an op-amp, and output it directly into my interrupter?? My interrupter is a TL494 running at about 180kHz with adjustable duty cycle.
EDIT: I found this circuit today - Audio Modulator , think it'll work for my application? It's basically what lightlinked was talking about.
