Sun-dried tomatoes for a quid is fab!

They're really tasty too - I chop them up with feta cheese and croutons and toss them into salads.

As for all this Vindaloo XXX with thermonuclear chiles, the guys can keep it for days when they've just had the cistern serviced. I'm more of a korma person myself. smile

I do a pretty mean tikka, and a pretty good chilli. I suffer from breathing disorders from numerous indusriatrial scenarios. Chilli helps a lot. so does alcohol. smile

The 'hotness' of chilies is measured on the Scoville scale, according to the quantity of capsaicin present.

I once got some "PIR" modules including a little faux moving video camera based around light sensors.

hard to believe they were only £1.

I stupidly forgot to get more than one of those interesting looking hats, turned out when I got it home it was an EL hat !!!! grr. In the skip they went probably.

Here's an idea for a £5 project. Recycled Nokia 3310 screen and ADNS2610 optical mouse sensor + lens connected to IR transmitter.
Use RGB LED on 3310 backlight and spinning filter with pager motor on the camera to get colour without a $$$ camera or screen.

Alternate idea, make your own single pixel LCD using indium, two pieces of ITO + polariser glass harvested from cracked panel front, UV set glue and some LCD fluid from the same cracked panel.

Use multi path optics to select several viewing angles and colours.

Thanks to Spritesmods for this idea, Link2

The dessicated cakes and pastries sold in £1 shops have sell-by dates beyond even the Second Coming and the Final Judgment - truly nasty mouthfuls of dry crumbs fortified with sweeteners and congealed fat.

I'll take your word for it, PM. I'm not wasting a pound of mine on that stuff.
