I start the transformer for the filament with a capacitor of 2 µF in series, and when the filament is warmed up, I put the transformer straight on 220V. But how can I regulate the power of the Tesla cheap and easy? Two steps is enough.

I use now a transformer from 48V in series with the microgolf transformer, but would like a triac-regulator to regulate the power. Nobody? Here is a picture of the working coil at lowest power:

Thank you very much, it is very kind, but I use a 48V transformer in series with the m-transformer (in anti-phase). What I want is a tension I can regulate and that is small: with a triac!
