~13-14 and I had found an automotive ignition coil laying around. Grabbed a capacitor and a relay from my junk pile, set up the relay to oscilate with one set of contacts, and used the other to dump the cap into the transformer. I was getting 1-1.5" sparks iirc, and managed to shock one hand at some point. quite painful, even more so than 120VAC.

Got zapped by my 15kV / 60mA NST recently. Accidentally touched one output with the back of my right hand while leaning on the grounded bench with my waist. the shock lasted about half a second before I got my hand free from under the live terminal.
Hurt like the end of the world and made me paranoid I was going to die from internal burns, or something equally unpleasant.
