Hey, if you want girls, get a job at a nursing school! cheesey I talk to them all the time!

Ah, and Steve, no apology needed. You have the right to do anything you want with your life. It's funny though, being smart has always attracted babes for me, usually it's the only way I can generate interest. tongue

And don't worry about her, she'll come along... there's more than getting laid you know! wink

Things girls LOVE:
#1 most important! >>>Listen to them, however painful it might be, and then do something at least a week later that shows you remembered.<<<

EVR's right, Smile! I don't know how many girls have told the me that's the most attactive thing in a guy...
Make everything about her, (at least until you're married tongue )
Kids and dogs, kids and dogs, kids and dogs! Though I'm not sure why. Just borrow a baby cousin for the afternoon.
Don't, under any circumstances, smell bad. cheesey

Anyway, good luck Steve. You're smart enough to snag a gal.

Guys guys,
The majority of women I have spoken to actually love geeks, they would much rather be cranially stimulated than anything else.
The one thing they can't stand is desperation, and they can smell it a mile off.

That's precisely my point. He's as geeky as they come, but he has something "very special"....lots of money, which he arguably made using his brain! How he looked and his interest in technology did not affect the desired relationship outcome.

Dan is right about the smiling, tho..... The "Viking slayer" expression does not inspire romantic feelings!

I understand how you feel Steve. A few years ago I have given up my hobby in electronics for the same reason. I would never do that again.

The big reason I understand why geeks dont get laid is from a lack of social skills. We spend too much time in the lab improving our intellectual skills instead of going out with frends and improving our social skills. Everyone on here is right, women love when a guy smiles. Women can't help but smile back when I crack my sexy smile.

Women not liking geek stuff is simple. They are women! Which means that they are emotional, not intellectual beings. I simply do not bring up science related talk in conversations with women. This will bore them. I don't let them know my geek side only my fun side.

There are geeks out there who study women and develop algorithms on attracting women. Some of those guys can be found here.

It's all about confidence! And parties! And being confident at parties! It doesn't hurt to be the center of attention either. Approach everything with a "F*** it" attitude, don't worry about it. Enjoy yourself, be interesting and outgoing. If you create your own crazy fun world around you, everyone wants to join you! Girls want a fun interesting guy, though the "serious and mysterious" thing can work in some circumstances.

Bollocks. I know it's true that most people, men and women, aren't interested in geek stuff but some are.

A major problem I see is that the appropriate geek girlfriends are in huge demand. Case 1: a woman in my university. She's just finishing a degree in maths, physics and chemistry and is a goddess. She has a boyfriend. Case 2: she's in our anime society, loves to dress up as anime characters and could outgeek many devoted 4HVers (and is cute). She also has a boyfriend.

Another problem for shy male geeks is that their female analogue is also usually shy.
