If you have not decided all the details of your coil yet you might want to look into building an SISG as described here http://drsstc.com/~sisg/SISG.pdf. That would work with only 1 MOT.

I connect 2 mots without ballast and was ok,then i connect a third mot in series for ballast and again was ok.Then i try to connect 3 mots to take 6kv but my breaker cant handle it,so i put a fourth as a ballast and instead of the ballast make a sound the 3 mots don't fire.!!

I test again the 4 mots but all was ok.
What is going wrong, maybe i need more ballast?!!I read in the web tha maybe the problem is the wrong phasing. Is this true?

Sorry for my English!

You`ll want to short the secondary on the one you`re using as ballast or it won`t let much through.

I fixed that, the problem was the phasing! One more question,i think to use 4 mots 2sets of 2 same watts mots.IS this ok or i need same watts transformers?

edit:I made my 4-pack mots!!When the cores of the mots are too close they fire up but i fixed this too.I think to put all mots with the ballast in a box with 2-3 fans from microwave ovens,if this works i will continue to calculations for the Tesla Coil!
