Im glad that he died by gun battle, instead of an F-16 droping a 2000 lb bomb. This way he lived long enough to realize he was on the losing side of this fire fight. And that it was Americans who were there to do the shooting.

Doesnt change much though, 2,977 murder victims and KIA's, still dead, 6,000+ immeadiate injured. war on terror will continue, many terrorists will still come after us.

There are some men who are like a rabid fox. Too dangerous to capture or keep around, like Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden, Jim Jones, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ... I dont like wishing ill on another Human, but there are those who have it coming.

It does feel good to have him dead, and if thats a character flaw....Ill live with it.

When I think of 9/11 and being just 19 then, I just feel so sad that Bin Laden got a man of quality--Rick Rescorla, instead of the other way around.

Thanks for the plug, Coronafix.

When 9/11 first happened, I believed our rulers when they said OBL did it. Then, after the shock wore off, I realized that the whole official narrative simply did not stand up to scrutiny.

One of the earliest things I questioned was, if OBL was actually responsible, why did he not make a "legitimate" statement or claim of responsibility, e.g., send some kind of encrypted message to the Embassies of neutral countries, to the UN, to the Vatican, etc., on 09/10/2001, and then, on 09/12/2001, send the key to decrypt the message?

If he's savvy and resourceful enough to make the attack happen, he's savvy and resourceful enough to get his point across as to why.

They want me to believe that someone would plan and carry out the most daring, most devastating terrorist attack of all time, but make no statement or claim, and then go hide (the surviving planners that is), and instead let some panel of fatuous government stooges tell the world that they did it because "they hate our freedom" of some other such nonsensical self-serving drivel.

Being that the whole point of terrorism is to get your point across, it makes no sense. That would be like robbing a bank, but then leaving the money by the door on the way out.

Then I looked at other aspects of it, too numerous to even mention here, and soon it became obvious that nothing we were being told could be taken at face value.

Then Bush demanded that the Taliban hand over OBL, and surprisingly, they agreed - they actually agreed to deliver him to a neutral country for trial (even though they had no extradition treaty with the U.S.) with one condition: that the U.S. produce the evidence implicating OBL - a very reasonable demand under the circumstances. Of course Bush refused to produce any evidence and instead attacked. Better to slaughter tens of thousands of innocent people in Afghanistan than to have to support a claim you make but have no evidence for, apparently.

Lastly, I could not believe what I happened to see in an official government document - the National Security Strategy of the U.S. for 2002.

According to the U.S. government: "The events of September 11, 2001, fundamentally changed the context for relations between the United States and other main centers of global power, and opened vast, new opportunities."

Here it is in black and white (second paragraph from the bottom of the page):

Link2

To re-phrase it a little bit: "The mass-murders which occured 09/11/2001 opened up vast new opportunities for the U.S. government". Or put more concisely still: "The mass murder of 3000 people on U.S. soil on 09/11/2001 was a good thing".

So in essence here we have "our" "government" expressing gratitude for what happened on 09/11/2001.

The cold-blooded candor of that sentence in that official document should send chills down the spine of any sentient being.

Wow, that website is like crackpot central. Gave me a good laugh if nothing else.

Dead for a decade? So Bush kept the corpse around so a future president could take the credit for the job right smack in the middle of his term instead of waiting until election season is near?

That makes no sense at all. I suppose it was actually Mickey Mouse who assassinated JFK.

Yes, and Obama was pissed that the Royal Wedding got so much media coverage, so he had the CIA defrost the allegedly Bin Laden's body and rough it up a bit.

My problem with conspiracy theories is that as a consumer and taxpayer I'm part of the very system I'm supposed to be hating, and I'm quite comfortable and get a good deal out of it. As Pogo said, "We have met the enemy and he is us".

That article was silly in the sense that it was not explained why they needed to keep the corpse "on ice" for 10 years.

The whole point of the instant controversy is: we didn't get to see the body. So why keep the body on ice for 10 years only to "bury it at sea" (as claimed) without first making a spectacle of it? Doesn't make sense.

BTW although it's not directly related to the OBL issue, here's some stuff to look at and think about.

First look at this: Link2
And then this: Link2

This is interesting too:

And this guy has more stuff here, all of it persuasive:

Lastly, this video is a little long, but this presentation by Dr. Graeme MacQueen is one of the best presentations I've ever seen. It's worth watching. This guy masterfully destroys the official story re: WTC7.

WTC collapse theories are completely off topic for this thread.

Well if someone takes the position that OBL "did it", then they implicitly also take the position that "fire" brought down the buildings.

In any case, some of the posters here have expanded the discussion to include "conspiracy theory" and government credibility in general, and that's what I was trying to get at.

So while I don't think it's totally irrelevant, I won't say anything more about collapse theories.

Do you want me to delete the links?
