Wee, Anthrax. I've seen them live.

In my old age I prefer drum'n'bass and jazz.

I heard a Metallica song on the classic rock station a few weeks ago, that suddenly made me feel really old :)

I remember when Disturbed appeared, a few of their songs were on the radio a lot around the time I finished highschool. Good stuff when I'm in the right mood. The Richard Cheese lounge cover of Down with the sickness is hilarious IMO.

Lately I've been listening a lot to (oldskool) drum and bass internet radios. But based on how I feel I listen almost everything, from Pink Floyd to doom metal...

I only relatively recently "discovered" Pink Floyd. I'd heard a fair bit of it before of course, but finally had that "Ah-ha!" moment where I realized why people like them so much. I suppose some music is like beer, no appeal at all until one day suddenly it starts to taste pretty good.

I much prefer the Roger Waters years to the later Dave Gilmour Pink Floyd, Although Dave Gilmour did do a few good tracks.

Wish You Were Here is my favourite album, although Dark Side of the Moon comes a pretty close second. Pro's and Con's of Hitch Hiking and Radio K.A.O.S. by Roger Waters are well worth a listen as well.

(I once saw Snowy White, who was a guitarist on tour with Pink Floyd during the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, playing in a club not much bigger than my living room, as a favour to one of the roadies on that tour, who was a 'mate' of mine.)

(there are plenty of Pink Floyd tracks with Snowy on youtube if you care to google)

I'm suprised to see so many metal people around. I used to listen to 'death metal' all day long while playing online games, now I usually just spend my day/week/month in my silent lab/workshop, ocassionaly switching on some classical radio stations, or puting on some Iron Maiden. Things change eh..
I dont really listen to music much any longer although it is very nice to relax to some classical and perhaps have a glass of cognac in the evening wink
