I think the budget for this would be huge. Sucks. Well even a vttc of 10kw or so would be sweet. You could always beg a few neighbors to hook up to the mains at their houses.....

this was mostly just a proposal. I am slowly working towards goals that will put me in a position to actually attempt this project. so; the armstrong circuit will work. However wouldn't cathode biasing make the whole setup easier?
The power supply problem is still a real one. I imagine this tube will work at considerably lower power then even it's dissipation. Obviously any set up could be upgraded if the available power happens to go up.
But for now it's just a pipe dream.
