ah that's good news! I won't worry about it to much then unless I get a strong smell of ozone that is greater than my air purifier

@ james, Right, didn't think about the convection currents... you would need more like a tube of argon, so it can settle back down before it escapes...
@ grenadier, interesting, I smelled ozone after a few minuets with my setup, but in hindsight that was probably due more to the corona I kept making...

A DC flyback won't work for a plasma speaker. You need high frequency AC, not DC.

I am in the process of designing and building a plasma speaker too, but mine will use vacuum tubes instead of transistors. I'll write a post about it when I have more details to report.

Actually a plasma speaker just needs an arc so a DC flyback will work just fine. (unless it's a sstc)
