Google Chrome here. Firefox seems to have become quite bloated as of late, and even on a high end system can seem sluggish at times. Chrome runs great on everything from my dinky little netbook to my beastly desktop, and I haven't really come up against any pages it couldn't render properly.

Adblock and Flashblock are definitely a must, but do be kind and consider disabling Adblock/Flashblock on sites you find useful and use often -- they've got to pay the server bill somehow.

google chrome... isn't it indexing everything you do?

I use opera and firefox

opera comes in very handy to cope with huge amounts of opened pages, and is really lightweight on older computers

firefox then for compatibility issues with opera...

I switched to the release of Firfox 4 and it's a great improvement over 3.6, etc. I was getting the same issues as PM and now (perhaps via the hardware acceleration in 4) I am getting a substantial degree of performance improvement.
I had read that Explorer 9 does not support XP.....now that figures!

I have a Linux machine at home and would not put a thing Microsoft on it. Indeed, it has been the more trouble-free of many.
