Seems to work pretty well now..

But I'm still having one issue.

The gate drive signal, when measured with one oscilloscope probe, is perfect. That's fantastic.
However, as soon as I try scoping the tank part of the heater, the square wave gets all weird, and lop sided. The sine wave measured from the tank is also just as messed up, it has all these weird really HIGH parts, and low parts. It's not pretty.

I think it has to do with the scope doing something to the signal. I can get it locked on resonance, but it doesn't look too great on the scope.

Also, I made the matching inductor using a flyback core. I'll get back on that in a little bit, going to try with a little higher power supply from my school, and we'll see if it helps with ZVSing, and hopefully, I'll be able to see the true signal being created from the tank and the inverter.

Wish me luck.

If you're scoping the high power section, I really doubt that the small capacitance of the probes would do much at all. Is there any way you could take some pictures of the waveforms? That would help out a lot.

There's my video explaining the situation.

As for the gate drive ic, I used a 27 ohm boostrap resistor, and a 10 uF electrolytic capacitor.
The matching inductor measures about 67 uH.
Just more values to narrow down the cause of the problem.

Thanks for your help guys.

Are you completely sure you aren't shorting anything out with your scope ground clips? Remember they are both connected together and to ground.

I don't know. It could be the problem.

Is there a way to measure without ground and causing issues?

Does your scope have two channels? If so, measure differentially.

Yeah, it's a two channel scope. I'll try that and see if that changes anything.

Nope... I completely gave up, I got so mad.

I switched out the gate drive ic again with a fan 7392, gate drive IC. I found out that it was not receiving one of the signals from the 3525, and as a result both mosfets were switching on and off at the same time... I tried flipping it around, I tried moving wires, nothing, the high side, when using only one signal, wasn't outputting anything, and this time it wasn't the supply voltage, it was something else unknown.

Damn gate drive ic's, pain in the ass. If I make this again, I think I'm going to just go ahead and use a GDT... Or a totem pole driver, either or.
