The 5keV radiation tritium produces can't even make it out of the glass vial, let alone a bunch of cardboard and paper. They'd have a better chance finding the holy grail than detecting any beta particles from these things.

Hmm, it's actually 18.6keV peak, 5.7keV mean. Still, that's nearly nothing.

Updated OP, I'll trade some for a READY MADE 1W 445 lab style laser. Something with an aluminum heat sink because I want to run it for maybe an hour on end, so no hot glue and tinfoil please!

I traded the 2 small ones for a 445 diode and nuked it within an hour of getting it. cry
