For the record, the reason we say there are 7 colours in the rainbow is because Newton thought that there should be 7. It's probably the most widely accepted bit of numerology in the world.

hmm..
I recall reading somewhere that Tesla had OCD.
Main evidence:- he had a germ phobia, obsession with the number 3, etc.

Interestingly enough it seems some of his problems may have been caused by a childhood illness, possibly fever-induced brain damage. Could explain some of the OCD symptoms, as well as his genius (unlocked normally unused brain regions during the healing process)....
