I hum that song... Lonely....I'm so lonely....
no...I'm by my self a bit throughout the day, in my room at least. So I commonly go around sites and forums, update my self with youtube, and work on projects. What better time to get things done!
I still see people often, friends and what not just to hang. But otherwise when im by my self, I dont really care. I enjoy it personally, as said below, I think it's peaceful and the freedom is rather nice. Im still at the age that I live under my parents roof, so many times i wish i did live alone. It's time away from reality, and people.

I guess it's different for everyone. But no, being alone isn't always a bad thing, it just depends on whether or not you WANT to be alone. Right now I'm not sure either way and it's sorta killing me.

Well get out and about then. Not sure how old you are, but I'm sure there are a million places to go to meet people. Just riding a bus can be socially interactive if you are open to it.

Just a simple question, what do you guys do when you're feeling somewhat lonely or depressed?
Depends. If you're just looking for basic human contact, there are a lot of ways to go about it. If going out and being social aren't really your bag, try picking up a hobby with a club in your area. Since you're posting here, there's a good chance Amateur Radio might be of interest to you -- you might consider looking into attending a local club meeting to find out (caution: the age of the average ham radio enthusiast is probably 60 years old, but in a large club you'll find people of all ages). You might also see if there are some other clubs/groups in your area that interest you.
Now, if you're looking for romantic companionship, that's a whole other ball of wax...

Coronafix: Are you the crazy old guy who keeps trying to make conversation with me on the bus? :)
Glud: That is the classic response of an introvert. All well and good, but even introverts need some sort of support network of friends and relatives. You can't expect them to be there for you when things go wrong, unless you work at maintaining those ties. Beware the pit of existential despair. Don't ask me how I found this out.
The same goes for all you (us?) other introverted computer addicts out there. The Internet allows you to surround yourself (virtually) with people just like you. On one level, it feels great. But on another level, it's the last thing you need.
