 		Hallo Gregory,
but the current is the same, if you neglect the inner resistance of the divider caps.

Try in the simulation with LTSpice file attached above (set the inner resistance of the diveder caps to 0 - they are on 1 right now).

The circuit seems really equivalent.

 		The total current is the same, but each igbt will switch 1/2vcc with 1/2current each
