They said that this circut "will not work".I show them the video. They said they don't know why this will work!
They have never heard of Tesla Coils.I told them the Tesla Coil in computer game Red Alert is real(though not that powerful) and I'm planning to build some. They think I'm totally joking.

As far as I know we aren't too sure why the ZVS works either.

You should also show your classmates this video. Link2
(a goal of mine is to build one of those before I turn 20 in 4 years)

BTW,most of my classmates are afraid of speaking or wrighting in English. They think my English ability is amazing but I don't think so.

Speaking English IS very difficult as it has differing rules than "Romance languages" and appears to be similar to German is certain aspects. Some people have a VERY difficult time with it.
I had a friend who took Mandarin as an undergrad language. I asked him if he though it was difficult (native English speaker) & he said that so far (introductory language classes) he loved it. Learning languages may be a gift I actually don't know why certain people can pick up languages and other have difficulty.

Yeah, there's nothing magic or mysterious about the "Mazzilli" style flyback driver. Very similar circuits are described in detail in Pressman's "Switching Power Supply Design", and probably other books on the subject as well.

The simulation in the youtube video is not correct however. Antonio describes it quite well in a comment on that video, so I'll just quote him:

This simulation does not show the correct way to design this circuit. The inductance of the primary coils is too high. The inductance of the series inductor must be of the same order of magnitude or higher, or what happens is as the simulation shows. The oscillation starts but decays, and a huge current is drained from the power supply.
