The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

It is really sad, they go beyond extreme with their health and safety measures. Yeah H&S is good when used properly like for live wires, hazardous materials, etc. But when they go into every little bitty things that 'might' cause harm, probably never will is just ridiculous. Like for this classic example at my college, "all tutors (teachers) must wear safety googles when handling blue tack" like what, blue tack 'just might' jump into your eyes?

No offense, but damn all those people who complain and sue all the time for their stupidity. mad

ha..
you think that's bad, over in Guernsey its not much better.
Getting a lot of stuff is a real "Mission Impossible" even if fairly mundane.

I went down to a place over here called Interseals.Very nice people, i asked if they had any isopropanol, "Yep, we just got some in"... Cool!!

That'll be the only place left over here where you can still get it, even the pharmacies don't stock it due to the stupid 'ealth & safety regulations.
Blasted nanny state, ruining our hobby.

Kudos to Interseals though, the guys there are very knowledgeable and helped me out with a question regarding compatibility of adhesives.

One of my friends got ID'd for developer... next on the "hit list" could be some PCB etchants as Maplins have stopped stocking it due to the excessive paperwork needed.
