Latin tends to make things sound grander – plus it’s a major asset if you enter medicine or horticulture.
I always thought Japanese would be fun to learn -- apparently they have a word that describes the sound a tear makes as it falls to the ground. Sounds rather poetic in some ways.
English is my native language too. As far as I know it was developed as a trading and commerce language. It’s rather fascinating as it is known as a second-generation language. It’s rather odd as there are only about 150 common words left in English that are explicitly defined meanings (Differ from the popular definitions).
As for the real language of love – everyone knows this one – well, maybe not the Dutch.
The old S.U.S.E. use to have all the help and devel files in German. (Is it just me or do they favour big endian coding for some reason.)
