You know SSTCs can do guitar just as good as DRSSTCs take a look Link2
this is my old SSTC it is much less complex than a DRSSTC the only draw back is spark size but it sounds as good
and gets nice volume.

BTW that's my brother playing the guitar cheesey

Goodchild, love your version,o and can somebody tell me what's the differents between SSTC and DRSSTC,ok so i have a profesor to help me whit the tesla part,so what do i need to get an audio imput to the coil, ive made a flyback plasma speaker so can somebody say if its similar to that,I assume that I need an amp, something to get the audio signal to the coil and the coil? Am i wrong?Sorry if im boring but i really want to build one tesla coil,im gonna make it,audio or not...

A DRSSTC (Duel Resonant Solid State Tesla Coil) has a resonant tank capacitor in the primary circuit this tank cap make for much better impedance matching and also creates much higher primary currents. DRSSTC are much more expensive and complicated if I were you I would start with a SGTC (Spark Gap Tesla Coil) the build a SSTC, after that you should have the knowledge to build DRSSTC. The coil you saw in my video was the second tesla coil I ever built, the first one was a very small flyback powered SGTC.

To get audio to the coil (for SSTCs not DRSSTC) it's as simple as squaring the audio with a zero crossing circuit and using that to interrupt the coil.
depending on the circuit used you will have to figure out were to feed the audio, my old coil has a UCC driver for the GDT so all I have to do is feed
the squared audio into the enable pin of my GDT driver effectively turning my coil off and on at the same rate as the audio.
