Primary questions

I just bought 50 ft of 1/4" od copper tubing for $40, I was wondering if I should have bought the 3/8" od instead for an extra $16.
Also, whats the best way to hold the primary to keep it from kinking?
I'm running a 15/30 nst right now.

1/4" copper tubing is even overkill for a 15/30. You could have easily gotten by with much less diameter copper tubing for a 15/30.

Hi,

$40 sounds expensive but depends on where you are at...

If it is a flat spiral secondary, and the tubing is in a big coil, start in the center of the coil and slowley and carfully let it sort of unwind naturally. The trick is to bend it as little as possible and bend large sections at a time so no one small place want to kink. Here is the biggest one I made:

The clearance between turns is only 1/8th inch. But it was pretty easy to do. You just sort of look at the coil as new and where you want it to be when finished, and try to get it there with as little bending as possible to get it there.

1/4 inch tunbing is perfectly fine for any NST system.
