Big Variac

I'm currently working with a 260V 2A unit, and the smell of cooking varnish is starting to get me a bit worried.
Just fleabayed for one, and they are asking $500AUD+.
Anyone with one they would like to sell? 15-20A?

Might need to mention the fact you're in Australia...
the only way to get one here seems to be to twice-daily check ebay for "variac"... you'll be able to nab one after not too many weeks.. that's how I got my 20A bugger =)
Shipping will be pricey, these things weight in excess of 25kg... keep searching ebay. ^^

Try to make buddies with a fabrication dept. guy on college campus. I'm building my college a Tesla Coil, and Jim has given my 2 oil diffusion pumps and a big 7.3kw variac. College is great because they throw so much away!
