Calculating amps

I am not sure how to figure amps in a circuit in regards to the resistance in the capacitor bank. I have 6 capacitors in parallel. Each is rated 450 volts 3900mF. I don't know the ESR. If I knew the ESR of one capacitor, how do you calculate the total resistance of the capacitor bank?

If all the caps are in parrallel, the ESR is equal to that of one capacitor. In series, it adds, ESRxnumber of caps.

Help me.
I thought the resistance in parallel is divided by the number of resistors. Is ESR somehow different?

And once I get the resistance of the capacitor bank calculated, do I just add that figure to the resistance of rest of the circuit? The circuit consists of a coil, SCR, connecting bars and the capacitors.

ya I'm pretty sure resistance will just be a work equation or as you said if they are all identical caps then divide the esr by the number of caps. Add that to the resistance of the rest of the circuit and you have the total resistance.

hmm, might be like that, it does with regular resistors.
