Squelling GDT.

So I managed to get the driver electronics set up and working for as far as I could tell, but when i connect the GDT it squels, from past experience this is bad, not to mention the waveform on both sides of the transformer is a ringdown, any ideas?

P.S. BTW If your wondering here is the link for the info on my GDT. Link2

Ummm, what frequency are you feeding into it?

The only time I have gotten a transformer to make noise is by passing an audible frequency through it; 50Hz to 20kHz. Probably a bit low on GDT for a TC.
On second thought, I've had noisey trasnformers from a lot or current. It makes a whooshing smoking sound. Or a lot of voltage which produces a crackling, snapping noise. =)

Answer to Steve, I'm running it between 531Hz-2.77kHz. Also for some reason my UCC 22 doesn't want to turn on and off...and it works because I pulled it out of the micro coils driver board, the Ucc 21 switch's.

Edit @ 10:44 ~10mins after above post!

So I figured out why the Ucc's where not switching on and off, My 7414 had a bad inverter so it was staying low, but giving a high to the Ucc's, so now the Ucc's work fine but I'm still getting a whining sound out of the GDT the changes as I change the interrupter, and the output of the GDT is still messed up as well.

You cant run a typical GDT at those frequencies.

And of course its gonna make audible noise since the drive frequency is audible.

Then what would one suggest, getting some of those ferrite rings and winding my own GDT, or changing the circuit around a bit? Could It also be that since I'm only doing low DC voltage tests that I'm not able to start the coil resonating, and there by not introducing the high frequency into the circuit through the antenna?
