well they are never "finished" always something getting bigger or better
but here she is:
NST 15kv 30MA
primary 1/4" 14 turns 1/2" spacing 10° dish
secondary 20.9" tall 4.3" dia
RF chokes and safety gap
thick wire for power routing
10 gap TCBOR type gap (with high volume barrel fan sucking though gaps) total gap of about 7-9mm
bottle cap (clear glass) 6 bottles 0.0065 uf, .7 bottles 0.0076uf (no visible corona)
lots o different toroids
RF ground 3 feet rod:
yeah its not the best looking but it does the job nicely
and in location with the RF chokes (you can just see the pipe i used for the safety gap at the end of the NST)
the choke (has goo on it cause its recycled from a degauss coil)
my "original" setup with bottle caps a total of about 0.007µf
my new MMC, total of .008µf (from memory) (not 9µf as posted earlyer woops
)
it in location
detail of the corona ring (made from a 4" end cap and washing machine hose)
and my top loads... including the one still in production
the center of the next one is a 2 litres coke bottle.. the "hip" in the bottle holds the duct nicely and makes putting the tape on easy
still in production
and my variac. cost me about $10 (got it for free cause the brushes were stuffed one broken one worn off... use magna starter motor brushes cut em in half and then use a file to shape em have been working like a dream) 0-280V 8A
sorry about the long winded post.. and sorry for no spark pics but in not willing to use my $2000 camera for them as yet :P i will have some soon for ya though

I like the way you used recycled parts, nice to see someone else working on budget coils. 9µF tank cap!?! I assume you mean 0.9µF, your caps don't look that big to me.
