Chinese PRHPV2A-20 HV diodes
MRMILSTAR, Sun May 05 2019, 03:42PMDoes anyone have any experience with these Chinese-made HV diodes? The part number is PRHPV2A-20. They are supposedly rated for 20 KV at 2 amps. I want to use 8 of these to make a full wave bridge capable of 20 KV so I am using 2 in series on each of the 4 legs just for insurance. I am most concerned with the voltage rating since I will be using up to a full 20 KV. I am less concerned about the current rating since I will be using a maximum of 60 ma. This posting is due to some of the stories about dubious quality of Chinese semiconductors that I have read.

I have no experience of these actual diodes,
but I have bought many low current high voltage diodes from China via eBay, many also fast recovery,
so far I have found them to perform as per specifications.
As recovery time is not specified it is likely that these are 'slow' diodes.

There is no spec sheet that came with them. I don't need fast recovery anyway. These are for simple AC-to-DC conversion at 20 KV using a full-wave bridge.
