Updates!

Chris Russell, Sun Nov 25 2018, 07:34AM

Hi all! 4hv.org has received some much-needed updates. The site is now https enabled, and running on a newer version of the site software.

Unfortunately, the theme is rather outdated, so you may notice some general ugliness around the site as a result. I'll be working on that as time permits. If anything is outright broken, though, please do let me know. You can reply here, or send me a message at **link**.

Hope you're all well!

Glad to hear it! Looking at a few threads I see some member's avatars are gone but some are not. I venture a guess the missing avatars were uploaded to the attachment thread. In this reply page, some of the icons are missing from the bb code options but their hyperlink and title are still intact; everything under the 'Format' section has no icon, just bullet marks and hyperlink that still adds bb code to the reply.

inline images are not displayed when you click them... bad link is returned I guess... hope migrating the old theme will not be too painful

Not sure why, but it took my about 10 tries to get the login captcha to finally let me in. Nice to see the site being updated!

The pages numbers for multi page threads need to be twice a big, and much darker. Took me a couple of minutes to find the wretched things on on thread.

Also ran into the CAPTCHA problem, it gives an incorrect response many times before it finally works.

Is there a way to download a copy of every post and reply I personally have made on the forum? Just for archival purposes in case "Something Bad" (tm) happens and I need to refer to a fixed point in time.
Its similar to how social networks let you do something similar so that you can then save content added.

Does the captcha really have to be grey on pale blue? Its bloody hard to read even with my glasses on an my face pressed up against the monitor. Took me 8 attempts to log in today.

FFS will someone please fix the damn captcha? Its too damn hard to see (too small, really bad contrast), and fails repeatedly even when I'm damn sure I typed it in correctly.
