Interestingly, my discussions about a possible temporal order reversal *might* actually help prove this.
If I would have come up with the same information by sheer chance or more likely an educated guess, the radio may not have anything to do with it and merely provided a way to encourage information already in my subconscious to surface.

Some amateur radio enthusiasts claim to have seen messages that repeat a single word or even a sound, yet there is no way this could happen unless the signals are bouncing back and forth in the atmosphere.

The effect of Sporadic-E is believed to be linked with this.

Also relevant: inventors often claim that the idea came to them fully formed in their mind.
Perhaps under certain conditions this can happen as Tesla was a notable example of this.
The patent system may need revising to take into account so called "cognitive convergence" and arrive at a solution which benefits all those who have done this without any provable connection between the parties involved.

This probably belongs on alt.psychology but still intriguing as a gedankenexperiment.

Incidentally my Peltier modules turned up so may be able to retrofit two identical radios. One anomalous signal might be power supply noise from a wonky switch mode unit undergoing thermal effects or some weird resonance effect but two at the same time in geographically distinct locations may be worth investigating.
Should I call them "Alice" and "Bob maybe?
