Levitating plasma globe

Hi all.
just found this on a patent search.
Link2

seems someone else had the idea of using piezo transformers for generating plasma.
Makes sense as they are very lightweight and there is no better voltage multiplication technology
that we know of apart from some hypothetical variant of LED/photovoltaics.

It would be quite amusing to have a plasma globe just floating in midair using more advanced 3 level
magnetic feedback from both RF and proximity so the globe can't drop.
For safety though might be better to encase the whole thing in optical resin so any glass is contained.

That is an incredibly broad sweeping patent.

e.g. a TC is a non-linear plasma load hence you can not use a piezo transformer in any mode of operation in your TC based product unless you want to fight Lockheed Martin's lawyers.

Yeah, any lawyer would take one look and freak out.
I still don't get why the patent system is so broken.
