Trying to workout the strange behavior of force and current

The setup I'm using is below, I've consecutively add 250 nF approx to the bank three times, each time the pellet moved less and less.
I thought with more capacitance there would be the same force over a longer time and make the pellet move farther, but it getting less.
Any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

we need more info. is the particle moving more with each increase, but not at the same expected rate ? this is likely not linear a situation, and calculus has to be used in time, position and acceleration type stuff. just adding more may not mean a better result.

The pellet at the start was moving about 5mm every arc, I normally let it arc about five times.
The second time with 250nF increase it moved about 3 mm per arc, third 1 mm.
The distance fluctuate based on whether it twist the arc before, but on average the distances workout around the values above.
