Coup de Foudre DRSSTC

This post may be long overdue, but I'd like to share some info about a coil several friends and I built last summer, based largely on Eric Goodchild's and Steve Caton's work (

-- CM600 H Bridge
-- 12" schedule 40 PVC secondary, wound with 6200' of 23awg magnet wire
-- 14" x 54" spiral torus, using eight 2"OD aluminum tubes
-- MMC: four strings of seven 940C20W1K-F capacitors
-- Eric Goodchild's UD2.5 version of Steve Ward's driver
