Serializing SCRs

It is possible to serialize SCRs like in the attached figure in order to switch great voltages?
I have simulated them and seems to work fine, but I do not know if it works with real SCRs with little differences in parameters

what’s with the photo diodes? When you series them you need to switch them at the same time in order to avoid over-volting the other SCRs. What is your application? Single SCR's units are available up to 1200v or so which is enough from most coilgun/low voltage pulse applications. Anything with a higher voltage a triggered spark gap would be better since getting series SCRs to trigger at the same time can be difficult.

You are right: I switch all the photodiodes at the same time. I would use IR ones because nanoseconds response.
My idea is that thyristors does not switch on until there is voltage at both gate and anode, so must activate all at same time.
I need lots of kilovolts and do not like buying expensive scrs, so it is less costly buying less voltage ones and serialize.
Bigest SCRs has at maximum ratings a maximum di/dt, so I think they are not suitable with capacitors banks discharge.
Look at HSDL-5420 and 4420 pairs, they are fast and very cheap!

Terry Fritz's SISG system (described elsewhere on this board) is the best solid-state high voltage switch I've ever seen anywhere. Ever.

I suposoe to be: Link2
Did it work?

Thanks!

What are you trying to do with the stack? The schematic will work, but might not be so good for the general scr applications(coilguns 'n such). Check out TDU's site for some scr stacking experiences.

I want make main power supply and switch for different projects
I do not known/found TDU´s site, what is it?
Iwill read about coilgun, sounds powerful!

I seen they use a spring powered switch. As I can see they not only switch active but also return.
Here are the best SCRs that I found:
