Wanted : Aluminum Toroid

By far the best deal I have found is John Freau he makes them himself and a polished 6" X 1.75" torrid sells for $44 shipped in the US. His email is **link** He has three sizes. Brushed 13" X 4" for $139 and 16" X 5" for $182

Just so you know, spun toroids are never cheap.
My 24"x6" toroid is worth $350. 40-50 bucks for a small 6-8" toroid is about the best price you will find.

is there much difference between a beautiful spun toroid
and an ugly aluminium ducting one?
Is it mainly cosmetic?
or is there a significant 'performance' difference?
