Sump pump timer
cduma, Wed Jul 25 2012, 12:37PMI need to make a timer for my sump pump. Would it be easier to learn enough C to do it with a pic or take a basic knowledge of 555timer and go that route? Basically it needs to send a relay high for 10 minutes after water hits the probes.

A monostable triggered 555 would definitely be easier and more efficient that using a pic just to count off 10 minutes.
