old board?

Is there any way, that you close all forums or ban all accounts and disallow guest to post, so we can read old threads though we can't post anymore?

We're also trying to figure out a sort of directory for the archives that will point new users in the direction of some of the best old threads. If you can think of any threads you would like to submit to it, please post in the archives discussion board that Chris Russell kindly made for the purpose.
