Feedthrough Capacitors

I have 3 of these mallory capacitors, in their boxes, rated at 1000mmfd (1000pf) at 600VDC, however, they have three different part numbers on their boxes, CT-280A, CT250A, and CT-254A. Are these anything special, or do they have any good uses besides timing circuits tongue ? They are a ceramic looking cylinder about .2" in diameter, with two wire loop terminals on opposite ends, with a total length of about .7".

These caps usually are used for feeding power supplies into a shielded enclosure (as in RF transmitter or reciever ciricuts that porudce interference/are sensitive to it) while keeping it shielded eg no hole in the shielding.

The construction of these is optimized for low inductance but dont expect them to be suitable for anything beyond their intended use.
