Converting 0-10v TO 10v to 0v
HV Enthusiast, Sun Jul 09 2006, 01:04AM
Any ideas on a circuit which can convert a 0 to 10V signal (DC) to a resulting 10V to 0V signal. Also, the circuit should use a single supply rail only.
i.e. 0V input = 10V output
10V input = 0V output
4V input = 6V output
Seems like it should be simple, but i'm drawing a blank here now. . .
Thanks!

what sort of bandwith/accuracy do you need?
You could take a pair of parallel a/d and d/a chips with a not gate on the lines and a little oscillator to initiate the conversions...

Analog subtractor circuit looks like what you need.
I think it can be done relatively simply with opamps wired as difference amplifiers.
You need to subtract input voltage from 10V, and result is output.
Set V2 to 10V (Vcc).
(I don't know if you deserve 'google pounce' now,
I won't bother you with that.
I could easily be missing something too..).

A duh. I knew it was something simple like that . . . too much work today . . .
thanks
