Yet more DRSSTC spark pix

Eat plasma, stool!
The bad news is that my secondary got pwn't by flashovers and I'll probably need to rewind it this time. The good news is I met some nice people who agreed to make me supports for a cone primary.

Those look great Steve! I like those better than your other pictures! Any chance of higher quality pics?

I'll post some bigger pix on my site. I used too wide an aperture though, so my depth of field is messed up, and some of the sparks are out of focus :-[

I like your vacuum-tube plasma globe you added on site steve. I wonder what else are you hiding from us
Sparks look pretty good to me, and focus too. I usually use too long exposure to get them brighter and they end as fuzzy looking bush.

Steve,
Nice coil looks really professional. That reminds me. That toroid is made of aluminum duct right? how do you get it so smooth. I've been meaning to ask that.

It seems to be a spun toroid.

Yep it's a 4" x 13" spun toroid from John Freau. I couldn't be bothered messing around with aluminium tape and spoons.

Those are nice toroids. Cool to see he is selling them overseas as well.

How do I get one of those from him?

Last time I looked, he took Paypal and shipped worldwide. Try his website
He seems to have taken his e-mail address off the site, and I won't post it in a public forum for spam reasons, so you'll have to find it yourself. (It took me 30 seconds using google search so I don't think that's unreasonable.)
