Ok, finally went through the junk box.

I took:

4 8pin dip sockets
the coil gun project (stud SCR and coil)
20,000 volt 50 ma diode
the last g27n12bn IGBT
2 ferrite filter beads (need theses for RF transformer)
2 little transistor sockets
12 of the 3.9 nf caps
the little bag on Mg ribbon (need this for thermite)
2 of the black pulse transformers
2 each of the SOIC UCC37321 and UCC 3722
1 key switch thing
Terminal Strip

I added:

1 strobe board
2 good sized reed relays
1 6 ohm (does this mean anything?) bipolar stepper motor
2 400 volt 470 uf snap in caps
1 odd shaped 1 Mhz oscillator
55.8 Mhz oscillator
5 neon panel lights
7 dip switches
17 position 4 row rotary switch
19 0.0018 ceramic disc caps
4 SIP bridge rectifiers
1 2n505 in something that looks like a mini to-3 case. To-6?
4 shotkey stud diodes
2 R71x fast diodes in to-3 case
2 2n6254 in to-3 case
1 2n3055
1 LAS1612 (I think It is a Vreg) in to-3 case
1 MJ2955 in to-3 case
mini line powered SSNST type thing (low output current)
1 6.3 volt 8800 uf cap

I will be shipping it out to plasma lover in the next few days.

I received the Junk Box this morning in fair to poor condition and, since it makes her feel better, I allowed my sister to open the box. Needless to say, my seventeen year old sister is careless enough to destroy the box and, now, I will be replacing the box.

I will do my best to send it out to Chris Russell as soon as possible, though my father's work schedule is not convenient.

I will be sending the box out as soon as possible. I have figured out what I am taking and giving and am now taking inventory of the entire contents.

Hello Everyone,

I'm very apologetic for the inconvenience I have caused. I have been in the hospital for most of the past month. I was lucky enough to catch strepthroat, as well as, more recently, acquire an abscess behind my right tonsil. I recently had it drained and have begun taking anti-biotics, however I am having trouble sleeping. This week is the first week that I have decided to go back to school and my parents agreed that it was okay. The fact is that I have been falling asleep in class and have been sent out of class twice already this week, and was pulled out of school at noon on Monday. The anti-biotics are disgusting, if it makes you feel any better. It is liquid 'cleocine' and you may look it up to see reports of its flavor if you really want to see how horrible it is. ;)

When I get home, today, I will be working on getting the Junk Box assembled and getting the things I would like to contribute collected, as well as taking inventory and pictures of what remains, what I will have contributed, and what I have taken. I will also be labelling components, as well as re-packaging them in order to prevent spillage within the junk box. Some of the anti-static baggies have become a bit worn and have begun to spread their contents throughout my room.

Arcstarter, you can vouch for me in that I haven't been on Windows Live Messenger in nearly a month and I haven't spoken to you in any manner for over a month.

I truly apologize, everybody. I would appreciate a PM with the address of the next recipient of the Junk Box and I will do my best to get it sent out by next weekend (my parents went to Las Vegas until Tuesday of next week, and my dad works nights).

Thank you for your patience,

Sincerely, your friend and fellow human,

Christopher

Glad to hear you're feeling better.
Take care not to let the new, improved Migratory Junk Box be a vector for disease transmission. smile

Of course; I will make sure to 'lysol' all of the sensitive components, as well as sterilize them with isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, acetone, mineral spirits, bleach, muriatic acid and sodium hydroxide. I look forward to sending the toxic 'box' of mush to the next recipient.

Hay I just came across this thread and have been reading, what a great idea! If you want to send it by me while it's down in southere California before it heads back across the country I would be more than happy to stock it up!
