Hello everyone too. From croatia :D I see most of you from 'old' 4hv :D but its my first time i'm here. Im 14 (in month 15) years old, male (ofcourse) !lol andinterested in all kinds of electronics, especially high power/HV (ofcourse too). I have built some 'tiny' TC-s and larger one some time ago, but that went totally wrong (in all sides) DRSSTC is next intended.. Also i made lots of flyback and ignition coil drivers, other kinds of electronics (radio, atmel microcontrollers, ..) actually im not leaving alone any field of electronics :)
New forum looks great, it only needs to get some 'population' and topics ofcourse :D

Anyways I would like to figure out these link problems. www.google.com or how about www.google.com I have no problems the classical and still work and the chain thing is cool what is better/different about that it says. [link=hyperlink url } urlhere [/link}

You too :D
I built some long ago, powered by ignition coil from 12V it gave some 5cm streamers. (barely visible) and stable arc formed at 2cm.
cool is that it could be drawn safely by hand 8)
Nice. I'm still trying to get a small enough transformer, thought about winding my own, since this thing is going to be tiny! ( and because my caps are only rated for 10kv! :p )
I've tried some half-assed SSTCs before, but everyone knows; half-assed + TC = failure x) (fun with so many new smilies... )

I'm still trying to get a small enough transformer,
I used ignition coil and it is perfect. For more power rectified flyback could be used, or small bug zapper transformer.. I used few beer bottles as caps, that tc obivously didnt come close to resonance but streamers were nice even without it.. I scrapped everything now and im only keeping the wound secondary. Topload was a ping-pong sized plastic ball in alu foil.
Probably it would be possible some simple SSTC setup with NE555 or maybe ZVS driver (mini DRSSTC) %-6

A few quick notes:
The green arrow is meant to be a solution for the problem of long URLs. Lots and lots of people will dump a 200 character URL into a post without bothering to format it, wreaking havoc with the board's layout. If you don't like having green arrows, the solution is simple and elegant: use the [url] tags. You can then put whatever text you like for the link, including the original URL, provided it is of a reasonable length.
Signatures are not for dispersing political viewpoints. Flags and other logos are allowed only for the purpose of geographical identification (ie, you are from or are living in Canada, so you put a Canadian flag in your signature), or for showing some sort of affiliation that would be relevant to a science community (for example, ARRL membership).
I agree that if I specifically allowed flags, I would have no choice to accept whichever flags users wanted to post, including country of origin flags, political flags, royal canadian kilted yaksmen flags, and so on. However, the rules are pretty clear on this... I allow images that are not of a political nature.
