Yup, this one is a good example. However this really belongs in alt.politics.misc. Does anyone have any examples of a discovery being lost by sheer administrative incompetence, ie losing the only copy of a paper in some dusty drawer for several decades? Oleg Losev comes to mind (RIP)
The point was, there are well established and privately funded political contractors that generate entire fake journals to justify complete nonsense, and gullible academics submit their own work (that may/may-not be valid publications deemed low-relevance by credible journals). While the public is so overwhelmed with unsubstantiated claims that real critics also seem to spout complete nonsense.
A said state of affairs. A mockup, parasitic on journals trying to keep up standards. It emphasizes my point. Quoting an article is an argument by authority. From my point of view, this is not worthwhile. Instead one should argue by content. At this time one might conclude, that there is none in the referenced article.

Quite right.
Interestingly there is data (verifiable) which I myself have seen suggesting that sulfur inclusions in palladium from one source could account for at least one case of "unreproducible" results. This is intriguing enough that I published it in the hope someone would one day make the breakthrough and have sealed proof of priority here etc.
Has anyone else here run into this issue? Also someone else dis suggest doing research full-time because much of my work so far is limited by lack of equipment and money.
