Cool, do you think you will show some pictures off the rest of the coil? id love to see pictures of circuitry and such, its interesting to see how other people lay stuff out :)

That's pretty impressive output for your coil, but it looks like it's running really big pulse-widths as Uspring pointed out. Are you running on the order of several ms or so? How does that do for the reliability? It also looks like you got the coil running in sync with mains so that's kinda like a VTTC on stacatto, i.e. like a simple QCW with the high impedance primary. Good job with the 50b60s! The Warp2 series seems to be the very best 247 IGBTs on the market right now.

WHAT THE? Sounds like a proper MMC will make the coil A+
Screw the UD! Schematics plox?

coil has a lot of primary turns, and a small capacitance MMC
so MAX circuit current is limited
large pulse duration, does not destroy the coil cheesey
a standard scheme DRSSTС only without OСD and PREDICTOR smile

Denis,

The coil seems indestructible, but I am worried about the house..... wink

Interesting effect on picture 2, I am guessing molten iron flying off spinner, with 2 very close hits adjacent to (you?) sitting in bed.

Cheers, Finn Hammer
